Soulcams has come a long way since we published our review last fall. The site has undergone a complete overhaul, both in terms of appearance and features.
Following a long and apparently challenging development cycle, the latest iteration of the site began to take shape at the start of 2025. They continued adding new features and functionalities regularly during the beta phase, and we felt the time had come to review the latest iteration, as most of the core features had been implemented by the time of writing.
On that note, it’s important to point out that the site isn’t fully complete yet – some features are still missing.
The Soulcams Story So Far
Based in Gemany, Soulcams has been around for a while. Launched by a small team of industry veterans in 2017, the site has managed to stay afloat against all odds – competing in a market dominated by industry giants like Chaturbate and Stripchat, while only having limited resources.
At some point, they decided to rework the site, as it had become outdated compared to other camsites – and it was certainly long overdue. The launch date of Soulcams 2.0 kept being pushed back until, finally, in January 2025, we got to experience the beta version of the new website.
And boy, was it a mess back then. Many essential features were missing – even the ones absolutely necessary for a decent camming experience, like cam2cam, Lovense toy support, and basic messaging.
Luckily, the Soulcams team has been hard at work ever since, rolling out several major updates and a few minor ones, implementing most of the essential features and making several quality-of-life improvements.
As of May 2025, most core features and functionalities are in place, with many more in the pipeline. For a list of known issues, bugs, and upcoming features, it’s best to check their knowledge base regularly.
Account Creation And Site Structure
At the time of writing this article, the site is only available in English.
Account creation is different this time, as there are no longer separate account types for models, viewers, and studios. Everyone signs up the same way – the main difference is that models (and studios) must complete an age verification process in order to operate on the site.
The design and menu structure are more straightforward this time around. The main menu is located in the top right – just click your username to open it. All the major buttons you’ll need are located there as well.
As far as viewers are concerned, there’s not much else to discover here beyond the ‘Buy Tokens’ and instant messaging buttons.
If you’d like to become a model or studio, you can do so by clicking the ‘Become a Model/Studio’ button in the menu and completing the age verification process.
Speaking of models, they come from all over the world and speak a variety of languages. However, during the review period, the majority of models I saw appeared to be Latino or East Asian.
Payment Options & Token Packages
When it comes to payment options, the site is more than competitive. As of May 2025, the available payment processors and payment methods include:
- Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club)
- Epoch (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club, JCB)
- SegPay (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Discover, JCB)
- PayPal
The site uses tokens as its currency, and its freemium model and culture resemble those of larger camsites like MyFreeCams, Stripchat, and Chaturbate. That means the site offers free chat, where users can choose to tip or gift models, as well as options to take models private for 1on1 or group sessions.
Cam2Cam and two-way audio are available during 1on1 private sessions at no extra cost. However, one key feature has yet to be implemented: a spy or voyeur mode that allows users to peek in on ongoing private shows.
Stream quality is generally as expected, with mostly clear audio and video, aside from the occasional hiccup. They’ve recently added RTMP streaming support as well.
Token packages aren’t exactly cheap – but that’s pretty standard for most camsites today.
Support
The support is qualified and quick to respond. While they no longer offer live support chat like they did on the old Soulcams site, they do their best to assist promptly via other channels.
As an experiment, I applied to be a model on Soulcams, and my application was approved in less than 24 hours. The application process is streamlined and easy to understand – unlike the often confusing and lengthy processes found on many larger sites I’ve reviewed.
At one point, one of my purchases didn’t go through, so I reached out to the support team. They advised me to try a different payment processor, and it worked like a charm.
All in all, dealing with the support was a surprisingly pleasant experience.
Promotions, Contests
There aren’t many promotions or contests yet, but they kept the old ‘Daily Dose’ contest for models and introduced a new ‘Rivalry Roll’ contest, which runs every two weeks.
As for member promos, there’s the usual ‘Buy 2 Get a Bonus’ type of deal but these are not permanent offers.
Conclusion
All things considered, Soulcams 2.0 is a clear step forward from its outdated predecessor. The redesign brings a more modern and user-friendly interface, a unified account system, and a set of core features that place it on more equal footing with the larger names in the industry.
While not yet a fully polished product – missing elements like spy mode still hold it back slightly – it’s evident that the team is actively developing and improving the platform.
The camming experience itself is solid, with free chat, private sessions, Cam2Cam, and two-way audio all running smoothly. Support for RTMP streaming and a wide variety of payment methods is also a big plus, especially for models using third-party broadcasting tools.
The support team deserves special mention: professional, responsive, and easy to work with. That, combined with a simple model application process and regular updates, suggests the developers are genuinely invested in creating a better experience for both models and viewers.
Promotions and contests are still fairly limited, but the existing ones – like ‘Daily Dose’ and ‘Rivalry Roll’ – show promise.
In short, while Soulcams isn’t perfect, it’s heading in the right direction. It’s a small but ambitious platform that continues to evolve, and with continued development, it may yet carve out a respectable niche in the camming space.
